Objective Of The DOEACC O LEVEL COURSE
This ‘O’ level course of DOEACC
Scheme is equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications.
Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course from
accredited centre and passing the examination conducted by the DOEACC Society.
DOEACC conducts exams of ‘O’ level in January and July.
DOEACC Society is an autonomous
scientific society of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of
Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India. The Society is
registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. DOEACC Society is the only professional
examination body in India, which accredits institutes / organizations for
conducting particular course, specializing in the non-formal sector of IT
education.
DOEACC is a joint Scheme of the
Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Department of
Information Technology (erstwhile Department of Electronics) and All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India.
Objective of the course
The objective of the course is to
enable a student to acquire the knowledge pertaining to fundamentals of
Information Technology (IT Tools and Business Systems, Internet Technology and
Web design, Programming and Problem Solving through ‘C’ Language, Application
of .NET Technology/ Introduction
to Multimedia/Introduction to ICT Resources, a Practical and Project Work).
Registration
Cut off dates are specified for
submitting Registration applications for each examination for the convenience
of processing and allotting Registration Numbers. Cut off dates for
registration are 30th June and 31st December for January and July Exams
respectively.
Once registered for ‘O’ Level,
the registration is valid for ten consecutive examinations for ‘O’ Level,
reckoned from the specific examination as indicated in the Registration
allocation letter issued to the candidates
Re-registration
Candidates who are not able to
clear the level within the validity period of initial registration, are allowed
to re-register for once, at the same level for another full term
i.e. 5 years to clear the left
over papers by submitting filled in Registration application and full
Registration fee within one year of the expiry of the validity period of
existing Registration.
