Vocational Training Programmes for Skill Development

NIELIT ‘O’ Level Course is equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the DOEACC Society.
NIELIT ‘O’ Level Course is a foundation Course of NIELIT Society in the field of Information Technology. The duration of the course is 1 Year (2 semesters of 6 months each). The next level IT course of NIELIT Society is NIELIT ‘A’ Level which is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application .The course starts in the month of January and July every year working professionals can also appear in this examination directly, provided they possess the requisite educational qualification as indicated below.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION
  • 'O' and 'A' levels under NIELIT Scheme have been recognized as equivalent to Foundation & Advanced Diploma respectively for the purpose of employment in Central Government and its constituents vide MHRD's Gazette Notification(43) as amended vide Notification(49).
  • State Governments of UP, HP & Odisha and many Public Sector Organizations have recognized NIELIT qualifications for promotions in various posts.

Whether one desires to super specialize in I.T. or just needs basic I.T. skills for career-specific requirements, 'O' level becomes a must-do course for every student post 10+2.
To encourage excellence in academic performance, accredited centers in Noida offers several rewards in the form of ‘Cash Prizes' and ‘Certificate of Honor' on the basis of performance in the NIELIT examinations.
All the students attaining the ‘Superior' grade or the ‘A' grade in any paper of NIELIT's All India Examinations, are honoured with handsome rewards. All ‘O'/'A' level students can receive awards up to Rs. 4000/- each. More than 5000 students have already received the Awards.

NIELIT has introduced a Scholarship Scheme for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped students who are pursuing NIELIT's ‘O' Level course as full time students. The scholarship amounts to Rs. 8,000/- which is given to students in two instalments, provided they clear all papers in single attempts within the next two consecutive examinations after registration and the annual family income of student from all sources does not exceed rupees one lakh .In fact, since the inception of mentioned scheme, many students of ‘O', ‘A' and ‘B' levels have won these scholarships.

To avail this scholarship, the student has to complete an application form and send it to the NIELIT with the required documents within 45 days of the declaration of NIELIT results. For more details and application forms, the students are required to meet the Programme Executive of NCA in Noida.
