What is DOEACC O level or What is criteria For DOEACC O LEVEL COURSE?

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), erstwhile known as the DOEACC Society, is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the government of India. The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

The NIELIT (National Institute of Electronic and Information Technology) Scheme, jointly developed by AICTE and Deity, was launched in 1990 after detailed deliberations in a National Working Group. The objective of the scheme is to generate high quality man-power in the computer software and allied fields by utilizing the expertise and facilities available with various institutions in the non-formal sector. NIELIT is one of the National Examination Body in India, which accredits Computer courses in 'O', ‘A’, 'B' & 'C' level approving institutes / organizations for conducting particular course, specializing in the non-formal sector of IT education and training.

NIELIT ‘O’ Level

The NIELIT curriculum has been scientifically designed to give the students a solid foundation in Information Technology. The one-year course comprises of two semesters that are further divided into four modules. The entire course is covered in more than 500 hours - divided evenly between lectures and laboratory. NIELIT ‘O’ Level Course is a foundation Course of NIELIT Society in the field of Information Technology. The duration of the course is 1 Year (2 semesters of 6 months each).

 The next level IT course of NIELIT Society is NIELIT ‘A’ Level which is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application .The course starts in the month of January and July every year. 

DOEACC O LEVEL

The NIELIT 'O' level, offered to career conscious 10+2/undergraduates, provides necessary I.T. skills required in all career streams. It is a launching pad for lucrative careers in 'O' level leads to progressively advanced courses such as 'A' and 'B' (MCA) levels. It also lays down the foundation for premier international I.T. certifications from world leaders such as Cisco, Oracle, Red Hat and Microsoft. These certifications lead to super specialization in high-demand niche fields of networking, database administration, and open source technology and software development.

Whether one desires to super specialize in I.T. or just needs basic I.T. skills for career-specific requirements, 'O' level becomes a must-do course for every student post 10+2.

To encourage excellence in academic performance, accredited centers in Noida offers several rewards in the form of ‘Cash Prizes' and ‘Certificate of Honor' on the basis of performance in the NIELIT examinations.

All the students attaining the ‘Superior' grade or the ‘A' grade in any paper of NIELIT's .All India Examinations, are honored with handsome rewards. All ‘O'/'A' level students can receive awards up to Rs. 4000/- each. More than 5000 students have already received the Awards.

NIELIT has introduced a Scholarship Scheme for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped students who are pursuing NIELIT's ‘O' Level course as full time students. The scholarship amounts to Rs. 8,000/- which is given to students in two installments, provided they clear all papers in single attempts within the next two consecutive examinations after registration and the annual family income of student from all sources does not exceed rupees one lakh .In fact, since the inception of mentioned scheme, many students of ‘O', ‘A' and ‘B' levels have won these scholarships.

To avail this scholarship, the student has to complete an application form and send it to the NIELIT with the required documents within 45 days of the declaration of NIELIT results. For more details and application forms, the students are required to meet the Programme Executive of NCA in Noida.

Advantages:

·         O' and DOEACC 'A' level under NIELIT Scheme have been recognized as equivalent to Foundation & Advanced Diploma respectively for the purpose of employment in Central Government and its constituents vide MHRD's Gazette Notification(43) as amended vide Notification(49).
